Mini Product Review & Haul ***Juvia's Place The Saharan Palette II***

Price & Purchase Process & Packaging:

I purchased the Saharan II Palette by Juvia’s Place directly from their website for $21.50. The package arrived earlier than expected and did not sustain any damage in transit. I own all of Juvia’s Place Palettes (including the Masquerade Large & Mini), all of their current single eyeshadows, and all of their blush palettes. In keeping with the African cultured theme regarding names of shadows and the physical packaging, the Saharan II highlights a beautiful woman of color on the front of the package surrounded by a deep purple background that complements the aforementioned picture.

Pigmentation & Color Payoff & Performance:

Never disappointed. That’s all I can say when it comes to Juvia’s Place products, in particular, their eyeshadows. The amount of product you receive plus the price point of the product plus the insane pigmentation and smoothness of the shadows makes me one incredibly happy customer. There is a total of 9 eyeshadow pans, which are approximately 36 mm (the same size as MUFE single eyeshadows) and eye pan is intensely pigmented, smooth, and is wearable for a variety of skin tones.

Overall Product Presentation:

I am definitely all about supporting black-owned makeup brands (see my post on the BOMB Challenge) but I am even more interested when the company products high quality products at a reasonable cost and makes its products available to different type of consumer brackets, while still establishing a true cultural investment in their ethnic group of origin. I have seen articles/posts as well as YouTube videos about different issues with Juvia’s Place. I have not experienced any issues with the brand and cannot speak to anyone else’s experience either. I have noticed across the board an increase in the company’s attempt to bridge the gap between these rumored incidents and provide better customer service. Juvia’s Place does not get enough love from the makeup community, while other companies like Morphe receive praise for their products, Juvia’s Place outshines companies like Morphe in terms of quality, cost, and origination. It comes down to a question of would you rather have 35 variations of brown with a couple of golds & burgundy sprinkled about, or would like to purchase a palette that is rich in cultural themes, contains unique yet wearable shades in different finishes, with superior quality for the price point.
