Mini Review & Haul - O - Day: ***Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes***

Price & Purchase Process & Packaging:

When the Huda Beauty Obsession Palettes launched, I initially said I was going to purchase them. Not because I didn’t like the color palette or because of questions of quality, but because I didn’t really need them. I have a motherload of palettes with similar color schemes, but when that Sephora VIB Rouge sale hit, and the cost per palette went from $27 → $21.60. Somehow, I could reconcile the slight price break in order to purchase all four of the palettes. Even though I ordered the palettes during the illustrious VIB sale, they still arrived undamaged with three days!

Pigmentation & Color Payoff & Performance:

The Obsessions Palette are curated in four uniquely diverse color schemed. The launch of the palettes saw the revelation of the Warm Brown Palette, the Mauve Palette, the Smokey Palette, and the Electric Palette. My two favorites and the most workable and wearable palettes for me are the Mauve Palette & the Electric Palette (I know, Electric Palette – workable & wearable!!) In my experience these palettes are not as pigmented and colorful as Huda’s larger palettes. They aren’t bad palette, but it’s something I would skip if you have similar palettes with the same shade selection, which…I bet you do. The price of the product is comparatively fair, but again, I don’t these palettes are super revolutionary. Just one reviewer opinion.

Overall Product Presentation:
So, to sum up my thoughts…Good but not great. Similar palettes exist, for example NYX’s latest square palettes in Brights & Warm are pretty much the same thing, and honestly they’re pretty much the same quality. No shade, just truth. This was my least favorite palette release from Huda, but I am sure she’ll make it up to us…..I know she’s got something cooking!
