Mini Review & Haul - Laura Lee Los Angeles ***Cat's Pajamas*** PLUS SWATCHES

Price & Purchase Process & Packaging:
I purchased this palette directly from the Laura Lee Los Angeles website. The palette is marked at $40 msrp plus $5.88 USPS First Class 3 Day Shipping. The package arrived ahead of schedule and was packed securely in a very endearing tissue paper pattern with a post card of Ms. Laura Lee.
Pigmentation & Color Payoff & Performance:
In terms of the pigmentation, the palette is surprisingly pigmented and quite versatile in its performance. Although I have other palettes that I like a bit more, that doesn’t take away from the palette’s quality. I truly enjoyed the shade variation and found in complimentary for my skin tone and eye color and I thought the matte/shimmer ratio was perfect. The matte shadows as well as the shimmers need a little building up to be truly impactful on my eyes, but then again, I don’t mind building up shadows, in particular mattes. I actually prefer building up matte shadows because it allow for more control.
Overall Product Presentation:
Is this palette “the bees knees”? No, not to this reviewer, but it’s a solid quality palette, and it’s worth the price I paid. I think this is a more than decent premier palette for Laura Lee Los Angeles. Companies, people, systems, etc., can always improve and I am see Ms. Laura Lee will venture to continue creating quality products for diverse populations. Very notable first effort!
6.5/10 Major points for packaging, and color scheme, but the formula could use a bit of improvement. I think it’s in the company’s best interests if they look for other avenues to market their product besides YouTube and Morphe Brushes. That is a minute percentage of cosmetic consumers.
