Review, Rate, & Rotate - Week #2

Kat Von D - Interstellar Eyeshadow Palette: Review - I was able to create some very sensual, smokey eye looks with this palette. I grabbed this palette from a seller of off Poshmark and got it for a good price. Definitely indicative of Kat Von D quality products. Rate - 7/10 You really are somewhat limited on the types of eye looks you can create with this palette. It's a cool toned palette and all my looks were smokey in one way or another. Not much shade variation, but excellent quality. Rotate - This will definitely being sticking around in my collection for a while and I might look to push into a panning project!
Fenty Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette: Review - I really didn't want to like this palette, and I thought it was absolutely going to be a dud, but I have to admit I was wrong. I find that it is better than the Moondust Shadows from UD, and the color payoff is superb. For a glitter palette I was quite impressed. Rate - /10 First of all, can we talk about the packaging....I go hard for purple and although the outside gets all fingerprinty, I am in love with that packaging. I think that this is probably the best glitter palette I have encountered in a long time. Worth the money! Rotate - Definitely staying in the collection and will consider rotating out other glitter palettes to happier homes so I can get better use of the palette.

Kryolan Aquacolor: Review - This is a very interesting product. These eyeshadows are made to work in conjunction with water in order to activate significant pigment. Although it is a bit complicated to get the appropriate amount of water to activate pigment, the color payoff is amazing. Rate - 5.5/10 The colors in the palette are gorgeous, but they dry out over a short period of time and the application process can be messy and a tad unsanitary. I love the ultimate result, but the process is a pain in the ass. Rotate - For the moment, this palette will stay in my collection, but I am actively looking for someone who would like to have it as a part of their collection.

Make Up For Ever Lustrous Eyeshadow Palette: Review - I really enjoy this palette, but if I am being completely honest, I have three other palettes with the same color scheme. Part of the reason I am doing this weekly reviews is to identify products in my collection that could are better suited for other people. Rate - 7/10 Love the palette's formula and definitely think the color palette is appropriate for the fall and winter months, but this color scheme as been replicated many times this season. Rotate - I think that this will stay with me for now, but I will take a look at similar palettes and decide what palette is going to make the cut.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette: Review - This palette did not live up to the expectations I set for it. The highlighters are very, very sutble, and the blush takes a ton of work up. I seriously have $1 blushes & highlighters from ShopMissA that work 100 times better than this palette. Rate - 3.5/10 Seriously disappointed with this product. The packaging is to die for and even the presentation of the product with the Peach Glow embossing is exquisite, but I couldn't in good conscience recommend this costly product to the average, everyday consumer. Rotate - Since I am still within  a reasonable period of time in terms of purchasing the product, I will be returnibg this to Ulta, who in fact, has a generous return policy!
