✬Review, Rate, & Rotate✬Week 25✬

Product Name: Ulta Melissa Michelle Eye & Face Palette

Review: I was not that impressed with this palette. Fortunately, I got it through a buy 2, get 1 free deal at Ulta and so I only paid $10 for it. The highlighter is nice but is already showing signs of hardpan. The shadows are nice, but nothing to get too excited about. I think it's pretty much what I paid for it, but nothing more than that.

Rate: 4.75/10 Nice collab by Ulta, but the palette leaves much to be desired. Although Ulta's formulation is improving I think the brand needs to decide if they are going to stay affordable/drugstore, and thereby price their items accordingly, or make the leap into the high-end makeup industry.

Rotate: Side note, I actually put this into the next week's rotation and I didn't use it once, so it's time to find it a new home.

Product Name: Too Faced Pretty Rebel Eyeshadow Palette

Review: I purchased this eyeshadow palette from a secondary market (yes, it's real) on the recommendation of Nicole from Young, Wild, & Polished, because she has mentioned the palette more than once in her videos. I was very impressed with this palette and up until the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Bar, it was probably the next eyeshadow palette Too Faced has ever produced.

Rate: 8.5/10 Although this is a fantastic eyeshadow palette, it's missing the right crease shade for medium/tan/deeper skin tones. The shade" totally fetched" is awesome but requires a bit of work. The actual name of the palette is perfect - plays on the ability to be a badass and look good doing it!

Rotate: I will be keeping this one! Sorry my Mercari & Poshmark lovers!

Product Name: Ciate London The Fun Palette

Review: I really like the formulation of this series of these palettes from Ciate London. Although, I have one listed on my  Poshmark (The Fearless Palette) it was only because of the shades colors. The actual formula of this palette is very user-friendly. It doesn't require a whole lot of thought or excessive & unnecessary understanding to use. Your average makeup wearer can pick up this palette and make it work. Beautiful shades with appropriate transition & base shades, as well as shades to throw in the crease, and beautiful shimmers to pop on the lid. Well done!

Rate: 9/10 I don't think the beauty community acknowledges brands like Ciate London often enough because everyone is bent on other mainstream brand names. This is an awesome palette, perfect for a novice or expert and wearable on many skin tones. Excellent palette.

Rotate: The only reason I would declutter this item would be because of my amount of color eyeshadows. I have to look over my inventory and collection and make sure I don't have an excess of colorful shades.

Product Name: Catrice Blush & Jouer Highlighter

Review: (a) The blush by Catrice is ok, nothing spectacular but it will work in a pinch. I have other drugstore blushes and even $1 blushes that perform better than this blush, but for one reason or another blush lasts forever on my skin and the majority of my blush collection is made up affordable blushes. That's one thing I don't spend a lot of money on because I can take a $1 blush and a $30 and it will look the same, lasts the same, and have the same amount of pigment. I guess I have a special formula in my skin.😏 Anyway, the blush was fair, and I think I'll pass it on to a shelter or someone else who can make it work for them. (b) This was both my very first high-end highlighter & YouTuber influenced buy! NikkieTutorials raved about this highlighter in a different shade (Citrine, I believe), and I had to have it, however, when I went to purchase it, that shade was out of stock and I purchase the highlighter in Topaz. I used this highlighter religiously for months, and I still love it just as much.

Rate: (a) 4/10 I think this is a good blush for a young woman or a teenager, but I wasn't too impressed. (b) 9/10 This is still one of my top highlighters. Beautiful sheen, long-lasting, stunning on the skin.

Rotate: I will be rotating the blush and hanging on to the highlighter.

Product Name: Ulta Pigment

Review: I was unable to use this product in this last rotation. Stay tuned for an update.

Product Name: Pixi Fairy Dust

Review: This product was super underwhelming so I am glad I purchased it at a discount. Its applicator is super awkward and difficult to use and because of that, it's hard to use the product. I tried using a brush to dig in and get the color out but I was super unsuccessful. Not the best product.

Rate: 3/10 The color itself is stunning, but if you cannot access the product what in the hell is the point?

Rotate: I am not sure what to do with this but I am open to suggestions.

Product Name: Lancome Teint Idole, L.A. Girl Pro Matte & Make Up For Ever Foundation Stick

Review: (a) Click HERE for a mini review on the Lancome Teint Idole. (b) The reviews for the L.A. Girl Pro Matte foundation are not kind, and although I have the wrong shade and had to mix it with another foundation, I happen to really like it. It is a matte foundation without suffocating my skin and I think it looks quite good on my skin. In all fairness, I mix it with the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation, because it is one of my older foundations and it is on the darker side of the shade range. In order to get a smooth application process, you really need to take your time and make sure that you blend the product into your skin well and you'll definitely get that semi-matte look. (c) This is a foundation that I am not too fond of. I am trying my best to use it. I find that stick foundations blend best with my large Tarte foundation brush. I am able to evenly distribute the product throughout my skin and diffuse the possibility of cake face. All that being said, it just doesn't look good on my skin. Unfortunately, I have a backup which I will be selling on Mercari or Poshmark.

Rate: (b) 7/10 The shade range of this product is not the best, but I think for a drugstore makeup it's pretty good. (c) This is just not the foundation for me. Makes me kinda sad!😕

Rotate: (a) Keeping this to use up! (b) Going to continue to work with this one for a bit. (c) Not my favorite, but not going to sell for sanitary reasons. Suggestions?
