✭✭✭Review, Rate & Rotate, Week 38 & 39✭✭✭

If you have a massive beauty collection, and you really are not into minimalism, leave a comment below regarding how you rotate through your collection. I would love to have your feedback and input. If I was to tell you how many eyeshadow palettes I have, you wouldn't believe me. . . Yep, it's that many! If there is something you want to see reviewed, in particular, eyeshadow palettes, you can reach me on my Contact Me page or Click HERE to send me an email!
Thanks for checking out my Review, Rate, & Rotate Series!

Rating is out 10 out of 10, with a full point given for each of the ten sections listed above. Points per section may be issued in the following denominations: 0, .0 .25, .50, 1.0. For further clarification, the sections listed are worth a total of 1.0 point and are:
1.     Company Profile & Personality: (available information about the company, cruelty-free status information, philanthropic efforts, unnecessary controversy, indie company vs mainstream)
2.     Price: (product cost, availability of product, shipping cost, available coupons)
3.     Purchase Process: (order time vs receipt of product turn around, availability of product, email notifications including shipping & tracking number, email notification for delivery)
4.     Packaging: (was the item securely package, decorative packaging efforts including information card about the product, upcoming sales, or the company itself)
5.     Pigmentation: (via swatches)
6.     Color Payoff: (via application to the area applicable)
7.     Product Application: (ease of application of the product, for example for eyeshadow, is there fall out, creasing, etc.
8.     Performance: (longevity of wear)
9.     Product Value: (price to product amount ratio, i.e. price per gram + product quality + consumer response (popularity of the product and consumer response) + repurchase option)
10. Overall Product Presentation: shade variation (if eyeshadow), women of color friendly, pale people friendly, universally applicable to many skin tones, desire for repeated use, would you repurchase the item again, is this product associated with a particular trend or is does it market the companies individuality, does the product set a new & innovative trend, is the product effective (does it do what it’s designed to do), does the product have potential multiple application opportunities (i.e. can the product be used as a blush & lipstick), is the product limited edition or a permanent product, is the product part of a collection, is the product consistent (from shade to shade, if an eyeshadow palette) from color to color in a part of a collection and does it function and operate the same each time applied.

If I mention that I am selling any of the items listed below, you can catch those products at a reasonable price on Poshmark @ bougiebriexo or on Mercari @ BougieBrie or you can always reach out to me on my social media channels or click on the Contact Me link at the top of the page and shoot me an email!

Various Eye Products - Milani, Revlon, L'Oreal, J Cat, Stila Nicka K

Review:  Literally didn't use any of these products over the past two weeks and I actually didn't wear a lot of makeup either. These are moving into Weeks 40 & 41 rotation, so look for a review of these products for those weeks.

Looxi Eyeshadows

Review: I owned all of Looxi Metallic/Shimmer Eyeshadows and used some of them in the previous week's rotation. In that rotation, I ended up adding them to a bundle on my Poshmark & Mercari accounts. What I found in some of those shadows, I also found in these shadows which was that shadows (all metallic/shimmers) were flaky. Some of the shadows, as beautiful as they are, just wouldn't stick to my shader brush. I used different brushes, wet my brush, used eyeshadows primers (which I usually don't use), but some of them, not all, wouldn't adhere. They would even  swatch beautifully, but I just couldn't get them to apply to my lids. However, some of them applied in such a gorgeous and metallic way, that they were absolutely stunning. Nicole from Young, Wild and Polished (YouTuber) pretty much had the same experience with the shadows. Some of them were crap and some of them are absolutely necessary for your collection, but it's difficult to determine which ones are worth it. **side note*** I did not attempt to use my finger to apply the shadows. It's not something I ever do with shadows, and I actually didn't think of it. So, it may be a technique that works for the shadows I had trouble with.

Rate: 6.5/10 I am going to go through each shadow and see which ones are good and attempt to apply the ones that have me trouble with my finger. I am trying to pare down my single eyeshadow collection. I have quite a great deal and many repeat shades, so I working to curate that collection. These shadows are inconsistent, which is irritating because I spent a fair amount on them in an attempt to support an Indie Brand. If all of the shadows performed equally, this rating would be a 10/10.

Rotate:  Keeping some, and moving the other along!

Looxi Aurora 1 Eyeshadows

Review: See Review Above!

Lorac Enchanted Elegance

Review: As you may know (if you follow me at all), I am a huge fan of Lorac powder products. This is a cute little palette, great for travel, performs well, and has everything you need for a complete eye and face look. Very cute packaging as well. The only note is that this is not the Lorac Pro formula, it's another formulation Lorac uses in holiday and limited edition palettes. These shadows were quite powdery however, but that's usually the case with Lorac powder products.

Rate: 9/10 Cute little palette. Great value for your money and has everything you need for a complete look on the go!

Rotate: Keeping this one!

BH Cosmetics Aurora Lights

Review: Absolutely stunning and beautiful palette. Great for a burst of color on the lid. Apply splendidly with your brush, wet or dry, and the color lasts all day. I have absolutely nothing ill to say about this palette. Really enjoyed it and recommend it highly, especially if you dig color and metallic shadows.

Rate: 10/10 Cute packaging. Affordable at $18, but you can catch a BOGO for BH Cosmetics at Ulta every couple of weeks, or you can catch a sale on BH Cosmetics website! Absolutely necessary if you dig bold colors. BH has an amazing baked formula and I really enjoy them immensely,

Rotate:  Nope, keeping this one!

Ace Beaute Grandiose Eyeshadow Palette

Review: If I am correct, I believe Ace Beaute is a BOMB (if you don't know what that is, the google it). I love to support Indie, BOMB, women owned companies. It's the trifecta of brands I love to support. I have all of Ace Beaute palettes that they have produced to date. I really enjoy there Quintessential Palette and this is a spin off of that palette. It's gorgeous in every way, from packaging to the color story, to the selection of finishes. Applies unbelievably! Affordable too! Pigment rich with every shadow and blends out seamlessly and effortlessly. One of my new favorite palettes for the Fall.

Rate: 10/10 Love, Love, Love! Nothing bad to say here, and very pleased with my purchase.

Rotate:  Are you serious? What do you think? Stays with momma!

Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette

Review: There was a ton of controversy (and still continues to be) surrounding this palette and ND's reformulation. It is rumored that ND has reformulated more than once over the last year, resulting in inconsistencies with palettes and some unsatisfied customers. Well, you can take the whiny b.s. somewhere else, because your girl right here is a die hard ND fan and as far as I am concerned, she can do no wrong. I could care less if ND reformulated 100 times in 2 days, if she continues to rock amazing high quality products, that is all that matters to me. This palette is different than all of my preceding ND palettes, however, different doesn't mean worse. It just means different. People equate different with wrong or bad and that is certainly not the case. This palette is gorgeous and perfect for the spring/summer months. I absolutely love it and was completely pleased with it and enjoyed the upgrade in packaging.

Rate: 10/10 Nothing ill to say at all.

Rotate:  Are you serious? No, that's not happening.

Sleek MakeUp When The Sun Goes Down

Review: I am learning more and more what I like and what I don't like. When I began my obsession with eyeshadow palettes I had well over 10 Sleek palettes and that has slowly dwindled down. I found this palette quite awful. Powders that just blend into thin air and thin and difficult to apply shimmers. I also found some shades unnecessary and repetitive

Rate: 4/10 I think this is appropriate for a beginner or a teenager, but it doesn't have an appropriate place in my collection.

Rotate:  Bye, Bye!

NYX Cosmic Metals Eyeshadow Palette

Review: I really enjoyed this palette. The shimmers are gorgeous, easy to apply and can be blended into the crease for a one and done look. One of the best palettes from NYX. Very good quality and excellent price.

Rate: 8/10 Not a fan of the packaging but realize that packaging is part of the price and in order to keep the product at drugstore price you have to sacrifice the outer aesthetic

Rotate:  Good quality palette that I am hoping to throw into a panning activity
