Price & Purchase Process & Packaging:
I made an order from MorpheBrushes.com earlier this month which included a repurchased item that I sold, Dare to Create 39A, and the palette I am going to review, the Morphe 15S Social Butterfly Artistry Palette. I was initially attracted to this palette because of the color story. This Limited Edition Holiday palette for 2018 has a beautifully arranged array of colors that I find personally appealing and are perfect for my brown eyes. Although the other 15 pan palettes I have from Morphe were $15, there was a slight increase in price with this palette being $16. The product was packaged appropriately and arrived promptly directly from Morphe and I must note that this palette arrived quicker than any other products I have ordered from Morphe.
Pigmentation & Color Payoff & Performance:
Listed below is a description of the shades, their names and their textures, directly pulled from the Morphe website.


Row 1: #NowTrending (antique cream metallic), #LaterGram (matte orange sherbet), #Ad (matte caramel crème), #Bae (shimmering neon magenta), #Makeover (matte sangria)

Row 2: #InstaFamous (metallic lilac), #ForTheGram (ultraviolet shimmer), #SideHustle (shimmering merlot), #Besties (matte shocking pink), #Influencer (matte royal purple)

Row 3: #MemeGirls (matte blue pine), #SquadGoals (metallic peacock), #FameGame (shimmering azure), #BestNightEver (shimmering night sky), #OffCamera (matte black)

The formula of this palette was notably different than other Morphe palettes that I have owned and tried. Morphe has shifted from a private labeled company to developing their own formulas in their own factories, which speaks to the differences in shadow formulation and the expansion in their line. The most cursory attempt at researching the ingredients for this palette yielded that this is an original formulation from Morphe used only in a tangent palette in their 15-pan palette line, the 15 T Your True Selfie Artistry Palette.

I’m referencing this information because of the many Morphe palette I have owned, and currently owned, this is by far the most superior formulation I have experienced. I think it’s even better than the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe (Version 2) Palette. The shadows perform very well from swatching to application on the eyes. Most makeup enthusiasts know that pink and purple shadows are incredibly difficult to produce. Most often, in any random palette, the pink, but even more so, the purple shades are going to give you trouble either in pigmentation or blendability. That’s just an established fact, for the most part, in the beauty community. For those of us who love purple shades, it can be quite difficult to find something that actually works. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the purple and pink tones performed in this palette. Admittedly, I am not a Morphe fan as I have sold and decluttered a number of my palettes, however, I continue to purchase palettes that interest me because they are affordable and if I do not like it, I am certain I can sell it on Poshmark or Mercari and make back some of my lost funds. I will not have to do that with palette. The shades #Besties & #Influencer are very rich in color and in particular, for the price of this palette, these shades are far better than I expected
