✭✭✭✭TOP FIVE LOOSE POWDERS✭✭✭✭

Sacha Buttercup

The following are a list of my top five loose setting powder. They are in no particular order and are all equally important in my collection for various reasons. I have tested many loose setting powders over the last 3 years, but these are products that I have used, repurchased, and used again. I consider them top tier items.

Sacha Buttercup Loose Powder - I was introduced to this setting powder shortly after Kim K introduced the world to the Ben Nye Banana Powder. Sacha then introduced women of color to their version of a banana powder, yet it was deeper and richer in color. I use it under my eyes and also, at times, I use it to set my entire face, depending on the seasons and the color of my skin. It works well in both capacities, and helps to correct foundations and Powders that might be a tad too light for my skin.

Rimmel Stay Matte Loose Powder

I was late to this party for sure. I was never big on translucent loose powders, and honestly, I wasn't a fan of Rimmel, but this loose powder stays in my drawer ready to mattify and set my foundation without hesitation. As my skin begins to change with the evolution of time and age, it refuses to make my face look powdery or cakey. Job well done!

Fenty PRO FILT'R Loose Powder

Ok, I was not prepared to like this powder. I was ready to return it because I just knew it wasn't going to work for me. It can't be that damn good, right? Everyone is just hyping it up, right? Nope! Not at all. This powder is freaking amazing. It literally makes my skin look so smooth, without drawing attention to pores or mild discoloration or acne. It doesn't make my skin look cakey and it lasts all damn day! Top-Notch!

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder

This is an old faithful - tried & true. This was the first loose powder I ever purchased and it is from the drugstore, go figure! It really works well with the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation, which has now expanded its shade range. Very budget friendly, performs well and is easily accessible, Total Win!

Too Faced Peach Perfect Loose Powder

I’m not really a fan of Too Faced products, but I will say when I began my makeup journey the “Born This Way” foundation was definitely one of my favorites. THEN, they released the Peach Perfect Foundation along with the Peach Perfect Powder. The foundation was marketed as a comfort matte foundation and the loose powder was supposed to provide a smooth matte finish without being cakey.  So I purchased both and the combo quickly became my go to combo in Houston heat! I have back ups of both and use them with regularity.
